Final Magazine Cover

This is my final magazine cover, over all I feel happy with the outcome of my magazine. I have emulated certain conventions, for example the masthead and this magazines specific style and format. This includes the date and issue of the magazine, where the barecode is placed and the amount of stories normally covered on one page. I have used many tools from photoshop whilst editing my magazine, these tools include, rubber, text, crop, copy, paint, blur and burn all used for different aspects of the magazine. I used da font for my tagline and main film title, I made the text distorted by using the gamma tool this created an eerie scary effect. i also removed the '15' rating sign because i found out magazine do not actually show them. I believe my main image is both eye catching and appropriate for the magazine, it not only grabs audiences attention, but it simple so it isn’t hard to look at. In relaity I would use a celebrity on my front cover, this would because It would increase my readership and attraction. This relates to Richard Dyers Star Theory which states: we relate to stars and idolise them, they normally have feature you admire or share.
